Nawaz, Zardari, Imran asked to donate their palaces to ease economic crisis

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Mustafa Kamal called for imposition of economic emergency in the country in order to ease hardships for the common man, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Taking part in the budget debate in the National Assembly on Saturday, Mustafa Kamal also unveil a prescription to get rid of the mounting debt, asking PTI founder Imran Khan, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari to donate their luxurious palaces. “Donate Banigala bungalo, Raiwind palace and Bilawal House to ease the economic situation of the country,” he added.
Mustafa Kamal said that the agreements with the electricity companies should be reviewed. He emphasized out-of-box solutions to deal with the issues in the power sector. He said we should shift to an interest-free financial system.
Participating in the debate, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig commended the government’s initiative of reducing the electricity tariff for the industries. He, however, opposed the increase in petroleum development levy by 20 rupees.
Taking the floor, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal regretted the incident of mob lynching in Swat. He said it is not an isolated incident. He said this house should take notice of the despicable incident and constitute a special committee for framing a national plan of action aimed at ensuring rule of law in the country.
The lawmakers also offered fateha for five soldiers martyred in a bomb blast in Kurram District.
