A startling revelation has been made in the killing of three kids at the Khenewal DHQ Hospital, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

Bloom Pharma supplied the injection administered to the children and a syrup of this firm was declared ‘substandard’ a month and a half ago

The syrup was found to contain the same ingredients that caused the deaths of children in Nepal.

The health department checked the syrup and it was found unfit for medical usage.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) also informed DRAP about the death of children in Nepal.

Despite the substandard syrup supply, the injection case was suppressed after the reaction in Khanewal DHQ.

On June 14, district headquarters hospital nurse Aqsa Afaq was arrested following the death of three children at the facility.

She was booked under section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code for her alleged negligence

District Health Authority CEO Dr Umer Ghouri alleged in the FIR that the accused nurse administered the injection to the children without adopting SOPs.
