JI leader shot dead in Punjab tehsil

A gunman killed Jamaat-e-Islami leader Muhammad Ali Dar in the Nowshera Virkan tehsil of the Punjab province on Tuesday.

Reportedly, accused Basharat shot and killed the JI leader over a petty issue. 

The accused sprayed the JI leader with a volley of bullets, killing him on the spot. 

The suspected killer manage to escape after committing the crime.

Police and rescuers rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a local hospital for postmortem.

The lawmen started piecing together evidence. Local police high-ups too reached the spot and vowed to bring to book the fugitive.
