Jamiat Ulema Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said the Parliament has lost its importance.


“The situation in the country is unacceptable. The constitution of Pakistan is no longer important,” he said while talking to the media along with opposition leaders including Omer Ayub.


He added: "Democracy has been defeated. Despite 10-15 years of operation, terrorism has surged.


“There has been a sit-in in Chaman for seven months.


“People of South Waziristan take to the streets. They need employment


“Brothers are living on both sides of the Durand Line.


Omar Ayub said there is no constitution in Pakistan.


He added: “We want to fight for the supremacy of the constitution.


“We have strong ties with Fazlur Rehman.


He continued:  "We want to continue the struggle for the supremacy of the Constitution.


"The PTI founder and Achakzai also have the same wish.


“We had a long and good conversation with Fazl.


“A series of JUI rallies are going on. Our rallies are also going on.”
