Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and writer Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar

Famous Pakistani writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar has stirred up some controversy again, this time taking a dig at Saba Qamar's dressing sense.

The writer has appeared as a guest on Hassan Choudary’s show ‘The Talk Talk Show’ where he opened up about his perspective as he never shies to be outspoken.

During the candid conversation held in the show with the host, the ‘Sadqay Tumharay’ writer was asked “If you write a book on these actresses what would be the title?”

On Saba Qamar’s name, Khalil answered:

“I will never write a book on Saba Qamar.”

This instant rude answer surprised the host and he asked about the reason behind it.

To which Qamar replied:

“I am sorry. I was heartbroken when I saw her adopting inappropriate dressing at the Lux Style Awards.”

While defending actresses, Raheal Rao, editor-in-chief of the famous magazine, recommended Khalil-ur-Rehman to focus on her accomplishments and knowledge rather than the clothes of ladies.

He posted the same clip on his Instagram handle with a long caption while referring to Khalil ur Rehman, which states:

“Please get a life because, for you, a woman’s entire worth can be accurately measured by the length of her hemline and neckline.

Let me burst your bubble: A woman is more than just what she wears. Her achievements, intelligence, and character matter way more than the fabric she wears and your shallow judgments.”

“Abracadabra! Close your eyes; if you don’t see it, the problem magically disappears. Maybe try looking beyond the surface.

Do everyone a favor: keep your judgments to yourself. In life’s big picture, your narrow view doesn’t contribute much. It’s time to embrace respect and mind your own business.”

Saba Qamar thanked Raheal for taking a stand for her and calling her a real diva.

People are divided, with some criticizing his remarks as unnecessary and others defending his right to express his opinion.

It's another example of how discussions about personal style can quickly become heated debates.

Here are a few comments from social media users.

“He is right Saba is crossing all her limits to prove as a vulgar dressing sense and copying Indian actresses.”

“This is the state of this ummah women are becoming naked and the men are defending it and condemning those who are speaking on the haq, issi liye is qaum pe zawal aya huwa hai Allah Hume maaf kare”

Here is Saba Qamar’s LSA 2023 look.
