Pakistani rupee sheds 14 paisas in its value against US dollar

The Pakistani rupee depreciaed by 14 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank market on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the local currency went down by 14 paisas or 0.05% against the greenback and ended the day at at Rs285.27..

On Wednesday, the Pakistani rupee had registered a marginal gain to settle at Rs285.13 against the US dollar.

In a key development, the Federal Board of Revenue has given a deadline of November 30, 2023 to banks for payment of 40% additional tax on windfall income, profits and gains during calendar years 2021 and 2022.
