PML-N lawyers moot on Nawaz's return

 

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N ) lawyers wing held a meeting at Model Town to mull over the measure to welcome the former premier Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.

Maryam Nawaz joined the meeting through a video link while key party figures including Nazir Tarar, Rana Sanaullah,  Naseer Bhutta, Mohsin Ranjha, Anusha Rehman, Azma Bukhari and  Rana Arshad were among the participants.

From the lawyers wing, Rana Zafar Iqbal,  Khawar Ikram Bhatti, Safdar Jatt, Malik Shehbaz, Nasir Chauhan, Malik Zeeshan Awan and district reps from across Punjab attended the moot.

Addressing the meeting, Maryam Nawaz said the people of Pakistan are eager to welcome their leader Mian Nawaz Sharif and they will give a historic welcome to him.

She added the lawyers of Pakistan are the frontline soldiers of Nawaz Sharif and they always stood by Nawaz Sharif. She recalled the lawyers’ support to the party leadership during court appearances

Azam Nazir said the lawyers have always responded to Nawaz Sharif's call. The lawyers' movement is clear proof of their love and support for Nawaz Sharif, he added. 

Rana Sana said the lawyers are all set to accord a warm welcome to the ex-PM. The lawyers voted for their leader Nawaz Sharif and they will do the same in the upcoming election, the former federal minister said.

He added the future of Pakistan will be decided on October 21.  Nawaz Sharif's narrative is clear and the people  fully back it, he maintained, adding that the success of democracy, supremacy of the constitution and stability of institutions are the guarantee of a strong Pakistan

Attaullah Tarar also addressed the meeting and paid tribute to the sacrifices of lawyers and movements for the sake of the Constitution and democracy.
