Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has reiterated his commitment to resolving the pressing issues facing Pakistan., reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Speaking on the current state of the country, he stressed that peace and economic prosperity are the key pillars for national progress.

He emphasized the importance of safeguarding human life and property as paramount to achieving stability.

He further criticized the current state of national institutions, pointing out that neither the Constitution nor Parliament is secure.

"Every institution seeks to have power," he remarked, highlighting the struggle for dominance within the country’s various institutes.

"We want a strong military and a robust judicial system, but we seek changes that serve the country, not narrow political interests."

Maulana Fazlur Rehman urged for systemic changes that go beyond mere political gains, calling for efforts that inspire public confidence.

He stressed the need to prioritize the nation's needs rather than individual interests, asserting that long-term solutions are essential for lasting stability.

He also voiced his dissatisfaction with recent political decisions, stating, "Today, we have taken a stance that the proposed draft is flawed."

JUI head also expressed concern over the presence of armed groups in various parts of the country, which had contributed to an atmosphere of unrest.

Despite the challenging circumstances, he acknowledged the business community’s desire to play a crucial role in improving the economy.

However, he noted that political instability and a deteriorating economy are major obstacles to achieving this goal.

Criticizing the electoral system, Maulana Fazlur Rehman warned that if free and fair elections are not conducted, the current situation of unrest will only worsen.
