Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F Saturday rejected the proposal of establishing a parliamentary committee regarding the expulsion of the French Envoy, reported 24NewsHD.
Both the parties want the issue of the envoy’s expulsion to be discussed in the parliament. The duo decided not to give names to the speaker of the National Assembly for the establishment of the special parliamentary committee.
PLM-N Senior Vice President Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the issue of ousting the French ambassador should be discussed in the parliament where all the parliamentarians could debate on the issue.
He said they (PML-N) had not received any letter regarding the establishment of the special committee’s nominations from the assembly secretariat to decide the matter. He said they would tear down the letter asking nominations for the committee if they would receive it.
Earlier, the government had moved a resolution to debate the issue of expelling the French ambassador following the agreement with the Tehrik Labaik Pakistan after the week-long bloody protests.
