‘Ailing’ Punjab Governor Cheema suffering from kidney problem

Punjab Governor Omer Sarfraz Cheema who rushed to hospital yesterday is suffering from kidney problem as has been revealed in his medical test reports, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to initial tests report, Governor Cheema’s kidneys have been affected. He was admitted to hospital complaining food poisoning on Saturday – the day when the country was abuzz with the rumour that Chief Minister-elect Hamza Sharif would take oath to his office at Governor House, Lahore.
The 24NewsHD reporter contacted with Services Hospital MS Dr Amir Ghafoor Mufti and inquired after the governor’s health.
The doctor said it was governor’s second day at hospital and his condition was improving gradually. He said his kidney test report showed that urea and creatinine levels were higher than normal which indicated that his kidneys were affected.
Last night, senior physicians performed medical check-up of the governor.
Dr Mufti informed that they ran ultrasound and some other blood tests of Governor Cheema.
He said these tests would be run again on Monday.
