Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired the 42nd meeting of the cabinet. Ministers and advisers, chief secretary, IG and secretaries paid tribute to the Punjab chief minister for his hard work to ensure better public service delivery.

In his address, Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the services of cabinet members, chief secretary, IG and secretaries. He thanked the field officers and the team of the CM office.

He said: “My team worked harder than me. I worked for 12 hours and they worked for 16.

“The entire team of the Punjab government worked hard and set a precedent of good governance.

He added:  “The perception that bureaucracy does not work and creates obstacles is completely wrong.

“The officers did the work of months and weeks in days and the work of hours in seconds. Bureaucracy never stops working.

“I worked day and night with 8 ministers. But no one can point a finger at anyone.

“The members of the cabinet and team did not do any favour.

He continued: “Difficult phases also come. Bribe offers of millions of rupees were made but we worked with honesty.

“The entire team worked with integrity despite the difficulties. Chief Secretary Zahid Zaman Akhtar and IG Dr Usman Anwar worked day and night.

“We have not changed any commissioner or RPO during our tenure. DPO and RPO are also not changed.

“Thanks to the entire team for doing all the work diligently on merit

“I also thank the officers and staff of the CM office.

"We worked like a family and ensured better public service delivery.
