The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has challenged the results of general elections 2024 along with appointment of chief election commission and members of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the Supreme Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PTI leader and senior counsel Sher Afzal Marwat submitted a constitutional petition in the apex court on Friday.
Moreover, the PTI leader also filed an appeal against the formation of an inquiry committee probing the allegations levelled by former Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chattha in the apex court.
The PTI leader also pleaded the apex court that all form 47s of national and provincial constituencies should be declared null and void and the ECP should prepare the results of the general elections afresh.
He further stated that the Supreme Court of Pakistan must stop the process of formation of provincial and federal governments besides barring the incumbent provincial governments as well as federal one from issuing further directives.
