Anti-polio campaign launched, 1.8m kids to be vaccinated in Lahore

An anti-polio campaign has been launched in Lahore and 1.8 million kids under the age of five will be vaccinated in this drive.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the anti-polio campaign has officially started in the city.
As many as 6,326 teams have been formed for vaccination who are going door to door to administer polio drops.
Lahore Deputy Commissioner Umar Sher Chatha said that the entire administration is actively working to make the city polio-free.
He also personally observed the performance of polio teams in different areas of Shalimar and urged the parents should cooperate with polio teams.
He said the district administration has also set up 200 special desks in public places and parents can also get their children vaccinated against polio from there.
