Punjab Cabinet approves dissolution of Bank of Punjab board of directors

Punjab Interim Cabinet 37^th session was convened Wednesday under the chair of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi which announced a number of key decisions of public interest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Punjab government after dissolving the board of directors of Bank of Punjab, directed the formation of new board of directors within 24 hours. Punjab Finance department will propose 12 new members of the board to Punjab government.

The proposed new names for the board of directors of the bank will be presented to the Punjab government within 24 hours. Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi will approve the proposed members.

Provincial ministers, advisers, Punjab chief Secretary, Inspector General of Punjab Police, Advocate General Punjab and secretaries of the concerned departments also attended the cabinet meeting. 

Punjab Interim Cabinet also approved special allowances for the doctors of Dera Ghazi Khan Institute of Cardiology. The cabinet also approved funds for the expansion of Pak Daman Darbar entrance routes.

The cabinet also approved possession of house in GOR 1 to the widow of former Punjab chief secretary Abdullah khan Sumbal. The government also okayed Punjab Healthcare Amendment Ordinance 2023.The promotion of presiding officers in Punjab Labour Court Sahiwal and Faisalabad.

The cabinet also approved the formation of Punjab Wildlife Management Committee, amendments in Punjab Delegation of Financial Powers Rules 2016.
