Rawalpindi Session Court has awarded death sentence to four convicts for spreading religious hatred on social media, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.
The four criminals identified as Rana Usman, Ashfaq Ali, Salman Sajjad, Wajid Ali were capital punishment after being found them guilty of crime under PECA Act. Additional Session Judge M Tariq Ayub pronounced the judgment. The Court also ordered imposed one million fine to each convict and ten years in prison.
A case was registered against the culprits in October 2022 under Section XI of PECA Act. Prosecutor Malik Sikandar appeared on behalf of FIA and Advocate Raja Imran Khalil appeared on behalf of plaintiff Shiraz Farooqui.
