First international flight takes off from Gwadar to Muscat

Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) first international flight departed for Muscat from new Gwadar International Airport on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
National carrier PIA formally started international flights from new Gwadar International Airport.
Keeping up with its tradition, the national airline flight took off from New Gwadar International Airport with its inaugural international flight PK-197 for Muscat. The flight departed with 39 passengers on board.
Local PIA officials saw off the passengers at Gwadar Airport.
PIA will initially operate one weekly flight to Muscat.
The PIA is committed to activating air operations across the country in line with national aspirations and public needs.
Earlier, a PIA flight landed at the Gwadar International Airport some days ago, making it the first commercial aircraft to arrive at the new airport after its inauguration on Monday.
