Electricity supply from 132kV Jackie Gore-Mand and 132kV Polan-Jiwani transmission lines from neighbouring Iran has been suspended, reported 24newsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In this regard, the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) spokesperson said that due to the suspension of power supply from both 132kV transmission lines from Iran, the power supply to all grid stations of the Makran division has been affected.

The affected 132kV grid stations include Mand, Tump, Turbat, Hoshab, Jiwani, Gwadar Door, Gwadar Deep Sea Port, New Gwadar International Airport, Pasni and Ormara grid stations, the spokesperson said.

A spokesperson said QESCO officials are in constant contact with Iranian authorities in connection with electricity restoration.

Panjgur and Hoshab grid stations are being supplied with electricity from the National Grid, the spokesperson further said.

QESCO has apologized to the consumers of Makran and appealed for cooperation on the power outage from Iran.
