Afghans' repatriation under Foreign Act approved

The federal government Monday approved issuing the eviction order of the illegal Afghan residents in Pakistan on November 1, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.
The Interior Ministry got approval from the Federal cabinet for implementing Section 3 of the Foreign Act 1946.
According to the Foreign Act, it was decided that the illegal Afghan residents would be arrested and deported. However, the residents under trial and convicted of serious crimes will not be deported. The ones convicted and under trial for minor crimes will be deported.
The Afghans arrested from Punjab will be moved to the detention centre established in Rawalpindi for deportation and the ones arrested from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be sent to Nowshera and Chamkani detention centres.
Detention centres in Quetta, Pishin and Qilla Abdullah will hold the Afghans arrested from Balochistan while the ones arrested in Sindh will be moved to Karachi 1 and 2 detention centres for deportation.
The illegal Afghan residents in Pakistan do not have any other option than to leave Pakistan till October 31.
