Level-playing field never given in Pakistan, says Gilani

Former prime minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday said, “We should not object to a level-playing field. If a level-playing field is not given, it’s nothing new. In Pakistan, a level-playing field has never been given,” reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“We have no objection to the provision of facilities [to Nawaz Sharif] as per court orders,” Yousaf Raza Gilani said while talking to the media in Islamabad.

“Nawaz Sharif is being given the protocol of a prime minister. What will you say?” a journalist put a question to the former prime minister.

“People will decide,” Yousaf Raza Gilani answered.

“I don’t know when Mian Sahib will come. I have been called here [to the court] before him,” he answered another question.

“Has there been a deal with Mian Sahib?” another question was hurled at the former prime minister.

“I am not the spokesperson for Nawaz Sharif,” he answered.
