Government universities being run without Vice Chancellors reportedly facing severe management crises in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
It was stated that more than 12 government universities in KP, being run without the Vice Chancellors are facing managerial and financial crises.
Furthermore, VCs of 10 universities will be completing their terms in January 2024 next year.
The higher education department reps stated that the pro-vice chancellor is not appointed in four universities and the VCs of other universities have been given that charge too.
The caretaker government has failed to appoint VCs in the universities in the past six months and the interviews have been postponed a number of times.
KP Chief Minister Qasim Jan said that they will make the appointments on merit. We are working for the appointment of permanent VCs in the universities.
