FIR lodged against BNP chief Akhtar Mengal, other leaders in Islamabad

A case has been registered against Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Akhtar Mengal and his other party leaders under the provisions of terrorism in Secretariat police station Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The case was registered under seven provisions including terrorism.
Among the other nominated BNP leaders Shafi Muhammad, Ahmed Nawaz, Mir Jahanzeb Mengal, Akhtar Hussain, Shafiq Turkai are included.
It is alleged in the FIR that they assaulted the staff of the Senate and tortured them.
The case was registered in the complaint of Jameel Ahmed Joint Secretary.
All these persons tried to force their way into the senators' gallery, text of the case said.
The accused were armed with weapons and engaged in a fight, text of FIR said.
