A complaint has been filed in Supreme Judicial Council against Supreme Court’s judges Justice Aminuddin and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan for alleged violations of code of conduct by them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Lawyers Akmal Bari and Afzal Haider filed a complaint in the Supreme Judicial Council and contended that both judges acted against code of conduct in Sunnni Ittehad Council’s reserved seats case.
The complainants claimed that in reserved seats case, 8 members majority judges voted in favour of the SIC reserved seats case but Justice Aminuddin and Justice Naeem Afghan went against the majority judgment and advised that majority judges decision should not be acted upon.
The lawyers are of the view that in their dissenting notes, both judges directed the Election Commission of Pakistan not to follow the decision of the Supreme Court’s majority judges orders, which is tantamount to misconduct on the part of both judges as both judges say in their dissenting note that majority members orders should not be implemented.
