Lahore witnesses sharp increase in cattle theft

Lahore, Pakistan's cultural capital, is facing a concerning surge in cattle theft, with a staggering 536 cases registered during the first eight months of the current year, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to official data, Kent Division emerged as the topper with 185 reported cases of cattle theft. Following closely, Sadar Division reported 141 cases and Model Town Division registered 94 cases, underscoring the alarming prevalence of this crime.
The statistics further reveal that Iqbal Town Division recorded 44 cases of cattle theft, while both City and Civil Lines Division each reported 36 cases. These figures depict a grim scenario of rampant cattle rustling across various parts of Lahore.
