Bollywood’s stunning star who has a reputation for playing replaced roles often in the industry, has said that it was a great misunderstanding that the showbiz industry has served her with movies on a silver platter, in fact, it was her hard work that paid off.
Recently, a Redditor took to the discussion platform to share an old interview of Alia Bhatt from the time when she was promoting Gangubai Kathiawadi. In the clip, the actress discussed the biggest misconception about her with India Today. She revealed that people often think that she got all her films presented to her on a silver platter and that they come to her because she asked for it. Alia was quoted as saying: "I think the biggest misconception is that I have been given all my movies just placed and presented to me on a silver platter and they come to me because I ask for it. I think that is one big misconception which I don’t agree with."
Further, Alia highlighted the importance of hard work in the industry and shared that a person won't even survive 17 minutes in the acting field if they don't work hard. She further talked about the sleepless nights and rigorous work she had done to survive in the industry for so long. Sharing that people still need to work hard even if they are supremely talented, Alia said: "I know the amount of sleepless nights that I have had, I know the amount of cuts and bruises and aches and pains that I have had working. I have given my blood, sweat, tears to the process of filmmaking throughout my career and it has been 10 years. I don’t believe it is possible to survive 10 years in any industry if you are not hardworking. You can be talented, but if you are not hardworking, there is no survival."
Netizens dig out proof to falsify Alia Bhatt's earlier statement
Soon, other Redditors started posting screenshots of news pieces mentioning that Alia received help from several people in the industry to bag roles. One user wrote, "True that, it was not a silver platter, maybe a gold one." Another penned, "These people have absolutely zero self-awareness." Meanwhile, a third netizen said, "Working hard in a movie is totally different than working hard to get a movie."
