‘Wives should be jailed for not allowing husband’s second marriage’, says Yasir Nawaz

Pakistani actor and filmmaker Yasir Nawaz has ignited debate with his provocative statement suggesting that wives should be jailed if they do not allow their husbands for a second marriage.

Yasir Nawaz appeared as a guest with his wife Nida Yasir at 'Nadan Maizban With Mani' where he demanded that the government pass a law under which wives should arrange their husband’s second marriage.

When asked about second marriages, Mani refused to tie the knot for a second time due to the current economic turmoil in the country and said, “No one can think of a second marriage in this era of inflation."

On the other hand, Nida who was standing alongside Yasir, gave a befitting reply to her husband's desire. “All talk and no action. Let him fulfill his happiness."

"Let him just talk as he says this in every interview", she responded laughingly.

At this, Yasir Nawaz clarified that he's not talking about remarrying but advising the government.

Further, while talking about marital relationships Yasir Nawaz said, “Couples who start sleeping in separate rooms are wrong as a couple should live in the same room despite their disagreements and fights as that is how you make up and your bond gets stronger over time."

However, Mani admitted that he sometimes sleeps in a separate room as even the children are now grown up but they wanted to sleep with their mother sometimes.
