Nawaz Sharif greets Sajid Mir on being elected unopposed

Former premier Nawaz Sharif Thursday phoned Prof Sajid Mir and greeted him on being elected as Senator unopposed.

Sajid Mir expressed gratitude to Nawaz Sharif for congratulating him.

He praised Nawaz for promoting democratic norms and playing his part for supremacy of the parliament.

All Senate candidates from Punjab have been elected unopposed and Sajid Mir was among them.

For the fifth time, Sajid Mir, chief of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, became Senator on PML-N ticket. 

A couple of weeks ago, Nawaz Sharif phoned Sajid Mir, asking him to get ready for the Senate election on a PML-N ticket.
