PTI to challenge ECP’s Daska by-poll decision in SC

The federal cabinet on Thursday decided to challenge the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision of re-polling in NA-75 (Daska) by-election.

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the cabinet meeting which decided to challenge the ECP decision in the Supreme Court. The prime minister tasked PTI candidate Ali Asjad Malhi and party leader Usman Dar with challenging the decision in the apex court. 

Earlier on Thursday, the ECP declared as null and void the outcome of the by-election in NA-75 Daska and ordered re-election in the entire constituency. Accepting the PML-N’s request for repolling, the ECP said the re-election in NA-75 Daska will now be held on March 18.
