Senior traffic wardens demoted for corruption in Lahore

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Syed Hamad Abid took action against two wardens on corruption complaints and demoted their ranks, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
A senior warden named Haider Ali has been demoted after an inquiry reportedly came back confirming all the corruption charges against him. He was demoted from senior warden rank to warden.
On the other hand, another senior warden Irfan Ahmed was also punished as the CTO stopped his increment for three years.
Both senior wardens took heavy bribes for facilitating the issuance of licences.
