CCPO Rawalpindi sacks cops after videos of their torture go viral

Another video of Rawalpindi police's violence against citizens appeared in Sadiqabad area, where policemen tortured youths and their mother in a street, CCPO, after inquiry of the incident, ordered arrest and later dismissed ASI Shahzad from service, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the details, during a crackdown against kite flying, Waris Khan police station police arrested two boys for kite flying despite ban. When boys argued with the raiding team, Elite Force ASI Shahzad and his team starting kicking and slapping the youths. Meanwhile, mother of the boys came in to rescue her children, policemen instead of behaving with her, started misbehavior with the woman. Police team besides slapping the children and their mother, dragged them to the van and shifted to the police station. The video of police’s violent behavior went viral on social media and public expressed displeasure over police attitude. CCPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Hamdani took the notice of another incident of cop’s tortures on senior woman in the precinct of Taxila police station.
After the registration of case, CCPO ordered the arrest of ASI Shahzad over abuse of powers. Later after the inquiry CCPO dismissed ASI Shahzad from the service.
Syed Khalid Hamdani spokesman told media that misuse of power by police officials and officers will not be tolerated.
Earlier, in another such incident, video of Taxila police station went viral on social media where ASI Imtiaz Nasir seen slapping and misbehaving with an old woman.
CCPO Syed Khalid Hamdani also took the notice of the incident and after receiving complete inquiry report within three hours, ordered the dismissal of ASI Imtiaz from service.
CCPO assured the public that misbehavior with public by police teams will not be tolerated as police was servant of the pubic.
