Nawaz lauds merit policy for admissions at Sharif Medical Trust

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo and former three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed the convocation of Sharif Medical City in Lahore on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, Chairman of Sharif Medical Trust, Nawaz Sharif, while addressing the convocation said, “A person who feared failure in life could never succeed.”
He extended heartfelt congratulations to the hard-working students, professors, and doctors for their efforts.
“I’m delighted to participate in this prestigious ceremony today. I also want to congratulate the esteemed professors; their hard work has brought all students to this position.”
He also appreciated the parents of the students who are equal partners in their children's success.
Further, talking about the merit-based-systems, Nawaz Sharif stated:
“100% merit is required for admission to Sharif Medical College. The merit culture has been promoted, not a recommendation, in Sharif Medical College,” said Nawaz Sharif.
“The young generation has to keep themselves away from abusive language and bad culture.”
“You should never be afraid of difficulties as stars shine brighter in the dark”, he added.
Moreover, the PML-N President and ex-Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and nominated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also attended the Medical Trust's Convocation.
While addressing the students Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz saluted the Chairman of Sharif Medical Trust, Nawaz Sharif.
Shahbaz Sharif during his speech, especially saluted his father Mian Muhammad Sharif who established this institution, and planted the seed which has grown into a tree today.
Further, he said, “The students who received medals and certificates today, are the result of their hard work every day.”
Lastly, he declared the medical profession is about curing and caring for others.
“The patients who get cured by you will pray till the day of judgment”, he added.
He urged the students to serve humanity.
