Following the arrest of the party's top leader Fawad Chaudhry in a sedition case, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan attacked state institutions on Wednesday.
He addressed the nation on social media and stated that the nation is looking to the Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial for justice.
He said the judiciary should take notice of Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest as he just passed a comment (opinion) about the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) role as a “Munshi” (servant).
Imran Khan also said that the judiciary should also take a notice of the contempt of court to move Fawad Chaudhry from Lahore to Islamabad despite the Lahore High Court’s clear order to present him before the court on Wednesday.
The Prosecutor General of Pakistan gave a finding in the JIT report that the crime scene has confirmed that there were three shooters involved in the Wazirabad Firing incident.
He said now he was sure that Rana Sanaullah Khan was directly involved in this incident and that was the reason for sabotaging and changing JIT and its report.
Imran Khan termed the rulers a thief and appealed to the nation that they should break the idol of fear and play their due role against the thieves of national exchequers.
He said the rulers have no worries about the country as their assets are in foreign countries and they will go abroad safely if something happened serious to Pakistan.
The PTI chairman reiterated to play till the last ball against the sitting corrupt rulers. He linked Pakistan's current situation with Sri Lanka too.
