CM Naqvi chairs planning board’s 8th meeting, seeks updates on uplift projects

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired eighth meeting of the Planning and Development Board in Lahore on Thursday with focus on reviewing progress on the ongoing development projects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Director General LDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa briefed the CM about the progress on the development projects. Chief secretary, chairman planning and development board and other senior officials attended the meeting.


The CM directed timely completion of developments projects without comprising on the quality of work. Naqvi was briefed that Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar will be invited for the opening of Imamia colony railway bridge project at the start of February.


The meeting was told that work on Lahore Ring Road southern loop three, toll plaza, main carriageway will be completed before January 31, 2024. The CM also directed to speed up work on Lahore zoo and Safari zoo upgradation.


The progress on project of Hospital Management Information system for 16 big public sector hospitals was also reviewed. Development work updates on Babu Sabu to Niazi Interchange Controlled X corridor, Faisalabad’s Abdullah Pur, Multan Shujabaad flyover, 9 bridges on Ring Road southern loop, 6 bridges and 4 under passes on Lahore Silakot motorway, renovation of Gajjumatta to Kasur were discussed in the meeting.


The meeting was told that the work on Services hospital surgical, admin block, basement and front side will be completed this month. Work on Mayo hospital, eye ward, children wards, Faisalabad Allied hospital, Holy family, OPD in Nishtar hospital, Iqbal Hospital Sialkot, university of Gujranwala, biogas plant in Gujjar colony will be completed in time. The CM was presented report on setting up of model e registration centers at every divisions.
