Former foreign minister and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the old politicians are playing their last innings, this time the contest will be between the ‘arrow’ and ‘lion’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

In an exclusive interview with Rohi TV programme Newsnight, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he wants to start a hunger eradication programme and a Kisan Card scheme for the farmers of South Punjab.

He said that the Kisan Card would be very popular among the rural population and would help them improve their living standards. He also said that he would give benefits to the backward classes and uplift them from poverty if his party comes to power.

Bilawal lamented that whatever government comes, only the elite get benefits and common people are ignored. He said there is a historic economic crisis in the country and the government has failed to address it.

On political victimization, the PPP chairman said that they had warned the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf to not put sisters and daughters of the rivals in jail.

He said that former president Asif Ali Zardari preferred service over revenge and did not take any action against those who wronged him.

He also said that the old politicians are playing their last innings and they have no future in politics. He said that this time the contest would be between ‘arrow’ and ‘lion’, referring to the symbols of his party and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
