Wildlife department launches crackdown against bird sellers, 2 held in Lahore

Wildlife Department has arrested two bird sellers within the limits of Lahore city and hundreds of birds were freed during operation against bird sellers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

On the instructions of DG Wildlife, Mudassar Riaz Malik, Deputy Director Wildlife, Ghulam Rasool Awan has launched a grand operation against bird sellers. 

The ring around the accused involved in the purchase and sale of innocent local and farmer-friendly birds was tightened. 

The number of bird sellers arrested in 24 hours has reached 04. 

Deputy Director Wildlife Department Ghulam Rasool Awan said the heartless bird sellers are involved in the heinous act of catching and selling innocent local Pakistani birds.
