Court orders handover of 16 miscreants for trial under Army Act

What could be termed a big development in investigation in the cases of vandalism and arson of Jinnah House, Lahore on May 9, 2023, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday accepted the request of a commanding officer for the handover of 16 miscreants to him for their possible trial under the Army Act, 1952, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court ordered the superintendent Camp Jail to hand over 16 miscreants, including PTI’s ex-MPA Mian Akram Usman, to the officer.
In its order, the court said that the suspects were found guilty under sections 3, 7 and 9 of the Official Secret Act.
The prosecution did not object to the officer’s request either, said the court.
