 The federal government has registered a decrease of $1 billion in external loans and grants during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The Ministry of Economic Affairs has released the external financing report for July-April 2024. According to the report, during the July-April period the government received $7.14 billion in external financing. During the same period last year, the government received $8.12 billion of funds.


During April 2024, $237.2 million in financing was reported. Govt received time deposit of 2 billion dollars from July to April of this financial year. From July to April, Govt received oil worth $595.1 million from a Saudi oil facility.


While 88.8 crore dollars were received under the Naya Pakistan certificate during the same period. External financing for the current fiscal year was estimated at $17 billion.
