PTI chairman refuses to cooperate with Attock police in May 9 probe

A special team of the Hazro police station, Attock Friday arrived in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi to interrogate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in charges pertaining to the May 9 riots, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, the former prime minister adamantly refused to respond to their questions, emphasizing his intent to answer only in consultation with legal representatives or in their presence.
According to jail sources, Imran stated that he would provide answers in the presence of legal counsel during the investigation.
In contrast, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi who is also allegedly facing the same charges as Imran Khan cooperated with the police team, responding to their questions.
After concluding the interrogation with Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the police team left Adiala Jail.
The police sources said that the visit to the jail was aimed at unraveling the circumstances surrounding the May 9 incidents involving the PTI chairman and the former foreign minister.
