CTD foils terror bid during DIK polio drive, guns down terrorist

The CTD police on Tuesday foiled a terror bid during polio campaign in Dera Ismail Khan by killing a wanted terrorist and recovering arms during a successful operation in collaboration with the security forces, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, two terrorists opened fire on a police team during polio campaign in Girah Guldad area of Kalachi in DI Khan.
The Counter Terrorism Department police and security forces reached the place and surrounded the area.
They traded fire with the miscreants. As a result, a ‘highly wanted terrorist’ Waheed s/o Rahim Bukhsh who belonged to the Baloch tribe got killed in the shooting while his accomplice Bin Yameen s/o Gul Nawaz who belonged to Jai tribe managed to flee the scene.
The CTD police and security forces recovered a hand grenade, an SMG gun, 10 magazines and 8 cartridges from the possession of the terrorists.
According to the CTD, the operation has been completed in the area.
