A second partial solar eclipse has been witnessed in many parts of the country on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

The partial eclipse has begun at 13:58 PST which will end at 18:02 PST with greatest eclipse occurring at 16:00 PST, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department.  

The second and the last solar eclipse of this year will be visible today (Oct 25) from most of Europe, Northern Africa, the Middle East and Western parts of Asia.

However, the sun gazers have been advised to take precautionary measures while looking at the eclipsed sun.

Experts have advised people not to view the sun with a naked eye. 

The 61 per cent eclipse will start in Lahore at 3:49 pm, and will finish after one and half an hour at 5:20 pm in the evening. It will be at its peak at 4:54 PM. 

The Met Office has predicted sunny weather for the Punjab capital. 

It was 29 degrees Celsius in the city in the morning, while the air quality index (AQI) stood at 196 which made Lahore the second most polluted city in the world.
