As many as 28 officers and jawans belonging to Levies Force have been sacked for negligence of duty, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Kohlu Deputy Commissioner Naqeebullah Kakar issued a notification for the dismissal of the officers and soldiers for remaining absent after being deployed for duty during repolling at different polling stations.

Those who were sacked included one Deputy Risaldar, five Dafdars and 22 soldiers, the notification said.

Strict departmental action has been initiated against the absent staffers, the Kohlu deputy commissioner said, adding those who are negligent in protecting people's lives and property do not deserve any concession.
