FIA arrests Nadra official for issuing fake CNICs to foreigners

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle has arrested in-charge of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) centre in Islamabad for making fake National Identity (ID) cards (CNICs) to Afghan nationals, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to details, FIA Anti-Corruption Circle has arrested the in-charge Najeebullah of NADRA Center Blue Area based on evidence.
The accused was adding the data of Afghan nationals to the family tree of Pakistanis.
Afghans were being made Pakistani citizens through illegal data entry and fake identity cards.
The accused used to take Rs 2 lac 50 thousand for making a fake identity card for which an anti-corruption case was also registered against him.
Earlier, FIA also arrested NADRA officers for making fake identity cards.
