IHC judges’ letter suo motu case: SC constitutes larger bench under CJP’s chair

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has constituted a six-member larger bench under the chair of CJP Qazi Faez Isa to probe the letter of six judges of Islamabad High Court which allegedly pointed out the involvement of intelligence agencies' interference in court matters, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Supreme Court executive committee formed a new bench on the suo motu notice taken on the letter of the judges.
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa will lead the bench while other members including Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Jamal Khan Mandukhel, Justice Athar Minullah, Justice Musrat Hilali and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan will be part of the six-member larger bench. The larger bench will hear the case on April 30, 2024.
While Justice Yahya Afridi, who recused himself during the previous hearing, has not been made part of the bench. All the members of the previous bench except Justice Yahya Afridi have been made part of the new bench.
