Adviser to the Prime Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said Monday that extremism and discrimination had been increased in Pakistan, adding that Imran Khan’s entire politics was based on hatred and division, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“Now, bullying has replaced argument. Debates are initiated even on those statements of Imran Khan that are contrary to the facts,” he stated while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
“Visiting other countries and participating in forums is the job of the foreign minister. During the tenure of Imran Khan, Pakistan failed on the foreign front,” he deplored.
“Imran Khan angered Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Malaysia. What Imran Khan did to the CPEC angered China. Khan Sahib angered America too. India changed the law and made Kashmir its part. Imran Khan did not have the support of any country on India’s aggression in Kashmir. Shah Mehmood Qureshi spoiled our relations with the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) too,” he castigated.
“Bilawal Bhutto brought success to Pakistan on the foreign front. He presented Pakistan’s stance on climate change to the world. He is visiting the foreign countries at his own expense. Criticism of Bilawal Bhutto’s foreign tours is unjustified,” Kaira asserted.
“Pakistan is achieving success on the foreign front. Imran Khan is attacking Pakistan, and we condemn it,” he stated.
“The incidents of terrorism are increasing in the country. They have increased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan,” he expressed concerns.
“Imran Khan can tell one thing that he has done in four years. Opposition is done even without bitterness. Pakistan took the highest amount of loans during Imran Khan’s tenure,” he maintained.
“If the country was in the right direction during the tenure of Imran Khan, why did the debts increase instead of decreasing? Imran Khan gave mafias a chance to play openly. Imran Khan made the rupee lose half its worth,” he added.
While commenting on the economic situation of the country, Kaira said that Pakistan would not go bankrupt.
