ECP decides to install CCTV cameras at booths in sensitive polling stations

The Election Commission has decided to install CCTV cameras at the most sensitive polling stations in the general elections in 2024.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Election Commission has sent a circular to the chief secretaries of all four provinces to install CCTV cameras.
In the circular, it has been said that secret cameras should be installed at the most sensitive polling stations declared by the District Returning Officers (DROs).
The circular also directed the chief secretaries that the CCTV cameras will be installed at all the booths of highly sensitive polling stations.
It further said that the election process, counting of votes and preparation of election results will be monitored by CCTV cameras.
According to the channel report, the Election Commission has also sent the SOPs related to CCTV cameras to the concerned authorities.
