TLP, Sunni Tehreek forge electoral alliance in Karachi

In a significant political development, Barelvi parties, Tehreek Labaik of Pakistan, and Pakistan Sunni Tehreek have announced to form an electoral alliance for the upcoming elections in Karachi, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
This alliance, revealed at a joint press conference by the leaders of both parties held in Karachi on Monday, marked a pivotal decision to contest the elections together.
As part of this collaboration, Sunni Tehreek will be contesting the elections using Tehreek Labaik's election symbol.
Pakistan Sunni Tehreek is set to actively participate in the electoral process, fielding candidates in three key constituencies of Karachi, namely PS 91, PS 103, and NA 237 under the banner of the Crane.
Qasim Fakhri, expressing his views during the joint press conference, welcomed the unity, emphasizing its broader positive implications for the people of Ahle Sunnah.
TLP Karachi Amir highlighted the potential transformative impact of this alliance on the political landscape, not only in Karachi but across the entire country.
He urged all Ahle Sunnat groups to unite and contest elections.
The vice-president of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek Bilal Qadri speaking on the occasion said that he had always played a role in the unity of Ahle Sunnah parties.
He thanked Saad Rizvi for his efforts to unite the factions.
The election results will prove that Karachi still belongs to the Sunnis, Bilal Qadri added.
“Pakistan wants to see the representation of Sunnis in the assemblies, Bilal Qadri remarked.
Bilal Qadri emphasized the national importance of Sunni representation in assemblies, echoing the desire of the people to witness increased participation and influence of Sunnis in political spheres.
