Skardu hosted the opening ceremony of Baltistan Ice Hockey Championship 2022 where Canadian High Commissioner Wendy Gilmour and other diplomatic staff also participated, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A large number of local ice-hockey lovers and supporters attended the ice-hockey event that was held at Helma Ringa amid the mightiest mountains.
Four teams participated in the event whose organizers are hopeful that these shorts of sport events will highlight the climate change cause from Pakistan. The organizers aimed to boost winter tourism with ice-hockey like events.
