Call to safeguard human rights

A delegation of civil society activities held a meeting with PML-N Minority Wing  Chief Organizer Raheela Khadim Hussain and other lawmakers Falbous Christopher and Emmanuel Athar.

According to a press release, the delegates included Christian Study Centre office-bearers Basir Nayyer and Nida Feroze, YCHR representative Wajahat Batool and James Rehmat from ECHD.

The meeting aimed at introducing the work of the Centre for the promotion of Peace and Interfaith Harmony and protecting rights of the vulnerable communities.

The moot focused on exploring ways of cooperation and mutual support for voicing issues that vulnerable groups especially religious minorities face.

The parliamentarians vowed to raise the issues of vulnerable groups at the assembly and make laws and policies to guard human rights.
