Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have vowed to continue protesting outside the parliament to press for their demands for the release of the party founder Imran Khan and an end to ‘political persecution
“PTI and allied parties have been staging a peaceful protest for the past three days,” Barister Gauher said while to the media outside the Parliament House.
He added: “The hunger strike will continue till the release of Khan Sahib.”
He claimed that the party leaders and workers were subjected to political persecution and urged the judiciary to take notice of the matter to redress the party grievances.
“Our political rivals are struggling to ban the party.”
He said his party has considerable representation in the parliament.
He added: “Today the decision of the Supreme Court was implemented and PTI became a parliamentary party.
“Today we have confirmed our assembly members from across the country.
“We will again emerge as a parliamentary party in all four houses.”
Opposition Leader in National Assembly Omar Ayub said a meeting with Imran Khan was held and the party founder said the nation should prepare for elections.
“Our protest will go on till the fulfilment of our just demands.”
