A man shot his wife dead over a domestic dispute in Hafizabad, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to police, the deceased Kiran was angry with her husband Akhtar and was living in her parents’ home.

The accused opened fire with the help of his accomplice while going to take medicine and escaped from the crime scene.

The woman was seriously injured in the firing and later died in the hospital.

Sukheki police shifted the body to the mortuary after registering a case against the accused, Akhtar, and started searching for him.

Meanwhile, the dead body of a 31-year-old woman was recovered from Punjab Society Lahore.

Police took the dead body into custody and shifted the body to the mortuary for a post-mortem.

However, the police collected the evidence with the help of forensic teams.

The police also recorded the statements of the family members and neighbours.

Police said that the woman committed suicide or was murdered; it will be known after the post-mortem.

A case will be registered after the post-mortem report.
