Rs8,000 allowance fixed for school caregivers in Punjab

Punjab School Education Department has fixed Rs8,000 monthly allowance for caregivers of 5,000 schools across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Now caregivers will get Rs8,000 on a monthly salary basis.
The department has fixed the allowance after receiving hundreds of complaints.
The department said that caregivers' salaries will be given from the non-salary budget and in case of unavailability of NSB then it will be given via Faroogh-e-Taleem funds.
Also, the school education department is to take action against those school principals who would delay or not provide the fixed amount to the caregivers.
